Oludemilade Martin Alejo, also known as Ycee, is a well-known Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter who was born on January 29, 1993.
After the release of his single Condo, he rose to fame in the industry.
After he recorded and released the song Jagaban, his celebrity soared.
After being initially signed to Tinny Entertainment, Ycee obtained a record deal with Sony Music, which aided in his ability to connect with a larger audience.

Early Life
Ycee was born in the city of Lagos on January 29, 1993. Oludemilade Martin Alejo is his full name. He is from southwest Nigeria because his parents are Yoruba. His formative years were spent in his parents’ Festac Town home.
Ycee was introduced to several musical styles as a teenager while watching TV and listening to the radio. He developed a passion for rap music, and after convincing himself to do so, he chose to experiment with it.
Ycee wrote a ton of rap songs while relaxing in his bedroom, which he later played for his loved ones and close friends.
His high school friends were in awe as he began freestyling during lunch breaks as he grew more assured in his ability. His buddies suggested him to use a studio’s four walls to record songs in order to showcase his talent.
Following their instruction, Ycee frequently went to a studio close to his parents’ home. He was able to record a few mixtapes during this time, and his community came to adore them.
He consequently received requests to perform at plays and little concerts in Lagos City.
Education
Ycee attended the Dr. Soyemi Memorial Nursery and Primary School for his elementary schooling.
He graduated from Nigerian Naval Secondary School, Ojo with a West African School Certificate after six years of study.
He received a Marine Biology degree after attending the University of Lagos.
Career
In 2012, Ycee began performing professionally, and Tinny Entertainment immediately offered him a record deal. He did, however, stop the music for a bit to concentrate on his studies. However in 2015, he returned with the popular song “Condor.” He was promoted as a rapper to watch out for in the song.
He also published the well-known song Jagaban in that year. He teamed up with Olamide for the song’s remix.
Omo Alhaji is another one of Ycee’s 2015 hit songs. He asked well-known South African performer DJ Maphorisa to contribute his vocals to the track during the song’s remix in 2016.
Ain’t Nobody Badder Than, or ANBT, is an independent music label that was founded by Ycee after he left Tinny Entertainment in 2019.
In 2017, he released his First Wave debut EP. The eight-track EP is a project. With the 2018 EP, Late Night Vibrations, he worked with Bella Alubo, another member of his label.
Fans of Ycee finally got to enjoy his debut album, Ycee Vs. Zaheer, after years of anticipation. The project was made public on November 8th, 2019.
