Rapper and songwriter Nwodu Chinonso, also known by his stage name Kola Boy, is an up-and-coming Igbo from Enugu State in Nigeria.
Early Life
Kola Boy was born to Mr. and Mrs. Chinonso’s family on May 2, 1997, in Enugu, southeast Nigeria.
His secondary education was finished at ST. Charles Lwanga College in Enugu. He then continued on to the Institute of Management Technology (IMT), Enugu, for his postgraduate studies.
Career
After his music video for “You didn’t caught me” became popular online, Kola Boy’s career took off. The instrumental track from Olamide’s song “Motigbana” was used in the song’s production.
This inspired him to create another song, “Onyx,” and the music video for it included Emmanuella from Mark Angel’s Comedy. Korrect Sound produced the tune.
He included Harrysong in the track of the song “you didn’t caught me” remix.
He recently released another single called “Collect” with singer Wonder J.
Kola Boy now has a contract with the record company MAF Music.
The rapper has a sizable following on both his Instagram page and his YouTube channel, where he frequently uploads rap songs.
