Daniel Otaniye Olaye, a.k.a. Killertunes, was born on June 22, 1986 in Benin, the capital of Edo State, Nigeria.

Killertunes was born into a family of five, but little is known about his parents and siblings. He was already composing beats for local artists in his municipality when he was 18 years old.
