Hadiza Blell, also known as Hadiza Blell- Olo (born 14 August 1989), is a talented Nigerian singer and composer better known by her stage name Di’ja.
She is one of the artists Mavin Records, a well-known Nigerian record label, signed in 2009.
She performs pop, R&B, Afrobeat, and Afropop. She began working in the music business in 2002 and has continued to do so.
Di’ja was born in the northern region of Nigeria to a Sierra Leonean mother and a Nigerian father.
She has resided in a number of places, including Canada, the United States of America, and Sierra Leone.
At a young age, she made a commitment to furthering her education, and as a result, she earned degrees in biology and psychology.
Di’ja is an extremely attractive, imaginative, and gifted individual. She is a visual artist, designer, philanthropist, and humanitarian in addition to being a vocalist.
Early Life
Di’ja resided in Canada, the United States, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria. On August 14, 1989, she was born to a Sierra Leonean mother and a Nigerian father.
She became accustomed to music as a result of her mother, Sierra Loner, who used to carry musical CDs about when she was a child.
She is a native of Nigeria’s Kaduna State and a Muslim. She developed an interest for music early on.
Prior to adopting the stage name Di’ja, she is known as Hadiza Bells.
Education
Di’ja completed her primary and secondary school before continuing on to get two degrees from various American colleges.
She obtained both a biology and a psychology bachelor’s degree.
Career
Di’ja began her profession after she received her education, and she has noted that her mother’s effect on her life was felt through the numerous CD collections that were present when she was a child.
The next year, in 2009, she released her debut single, Rock Steady, which earned her a nomination for best R&B record at the Canadian Radio Music Awards that same year.
After waiting for a long time, Don Jazzy finally signed her to Mavin Records. In February of 2014, she dropped her debut track, Yaro. She has also received numerous honors in recognition of her career, including the Beat Music Awards, Canadian Radio Music Awards, and Nigeria Entertainment Awards.
In 2017, Di’ja also released One Talk, a popular song produced by Globalcom Telecommunication Company.
She reportedly rose to fame after appearing in the famous song Dorobucci with Don Jazzy, Korede Bello, Tiwa Savage, Reekado Banks, D’Prince, and Dr SID from Mavin Records.
