Self-described “Best Rapper in Africa” (abbreviated as “BRIA”), also known as Blaqbonez or Mr. Boombastic, is a Nigerian rapper well-known for his contentious diss track titled “Best Rapper In Africa,” which dominated mainstream Nigerian music conversations and undoubtedly started the biggest hip-hop debate. He is renowned for both his distinctive rap flow and his creativity.
His debut album “Bad Boy Blaq,” which peaked at number one on the Hip-Hop Charts, his 2019 EP “Mr. Boombastic,” which debuted at number one, and the “Sex Over Love” project, which won praise from Burna Boy and WizKid and was named one of Rolling Stones’ Top Albums of 2021, all prove that he is without a doubt among the best.
It is safe to conclude that the young artist has a limitless supply of fascinating information given his status as a one-man freight train. In February 2022, his first headlining show with the subject “Breaking the Yoke of Love” sold out a 4,000-person venue. In April, he dropped “Commander,” which is now his second-most streamed single. Blaqbonez has received three Headies nominations and a Guinness Nigeria sponsorship as a result of his consistent work ethic.
