In a recent interview, Burna Boy referred to Nigerians as ‘Collateral Damage’

Burna Boy, a globally acclaimed Afro-fusion artist, commented on Nigeria and its existence.

In his chat with Tidal, Burna Boy noted that Nigeria’s cultural diversity poses a challenge to its development.

The British regarded Nigeria as a business opportunity. The Niger Area, the current name for the region now known as Nigeria, was previously governed by the Royal Niger Company.

The Royal Niger Company, upon assuming control, chose to govern the North and South collectively, resulting in the formation of Nigeria.

During the merger, neither the Niger Company nor its British sellers acknowledged the local populace in the area.
