Davido – No Competition ft. Asake

Award-winning iconic Nigerian musician and DMW headliner, Davido releases a brand new song titled “No Competition.”

David Adedeji Adeleke (born November 21, 1992) is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and record producer of American origin. He made his music debut as a member of the music group KB International, after being born in Atlanta, Georgia, and reared in Lagos, Nigeria.

Davido, a Nigerian vocalist/producer, combines traditional African elements with global mainstream music to create an interesting and infectious sound. On his 2020 album A Better Time, he quickly progressed from club-ready early songs to charting tunes and features from massive stars like Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown.

David Adedeji Adeleke was born in Atlanta, Georgia, in 1992. His passion for music began in his late teens while attending Oakwood University when he started composing his own beats and researching music production. He stepped out of school and went full-time into music, migrating to Lagos, Nigeria, and released his debut track, “Back Then,” in 2011. The record attracted some notice for its combination of clubby production, high-energy vocals, and Afro-pop rhythms, and it was quickly followed by the second hit “Dami Duro.” Work on his debut album, Omo Baba Olowo, which was released in 2012 and yielded a slew of singles, began.

“No Competition” is a brilliantly composed song that highlights Davido’s distinct musical style and ability to create appealing compositions. Davido’s soft vocals are complemented by Asake’s soulful voice in this ideal blend of afrobeats and current R&B. The song’s words are simple but powerful, conveying a message of love and loyalty. Davido sings about his feelings for a certain woman, whom he considers as the only one for him. He promises to be there for her at all times and to never let anyone come between them.

Asake, on the other hand, adds his own deep vocals to the song, offering a passionate verse that nicely matches Davido’s voice. The two artists work together to produce a wonderful harmony.

To spice things up, he enlisted the musical talents of Asake, a talented musician and YBNL signee from Nigeria.

Furthermore, this new song is off his fourth studio album, “Timeless EP.”
