Early Life
Nonso Amadi was born and raised in Lagos State; his parents are from Eastern Nigeria.
He is the eldest son out of six siblings and the third child of the Amadis.
On September 1, 1995, his happy parents welcomed him into the world.
Nonso Amadi’s parents suffered as a result of his passion of music in school.
The Lagos-born man was unwilling to focus on his education as his parents thought there was “no future in music.”
Nevertheless, he continued to pursue his love of music and, after graduating, became a musician.
Education
At Gregory’s College, Ikoyi, Nonso Amadi received his elementary and secondary education in Lagos State, Nigeria.
In 2009, while still residing in the commercial hub of Lagos, he earned both his West African School Leaving Certificate (WAEC) and Senior School Certificate (SSCE).
He continued his schooling and earned a degree in Chemical Engineering from Covenant University in Ogun State.
The talented singer decided he still needed to learn more, so he attended McMaster University in the United Kingdom and earned a Master’s degree.
Career
While attending the University, Nonso Amadi started playing music. Even though he was doing a challenging course at Covenant University, he began singing and performing in local shows.
After graduating in 2012 and having proven his mastery of the art of music, he entered the studio as a professional.
In 2016, he began his musical endeavor with the EP Alone, which was quickly followed by the smash hit Tonight. He first gained notoriety because to the song Tonight.
The Afro-Pop musician released successful songs like “No Crime” and “Aika” while continuing his charitable deeds.
Nonso Amadi has worked with a number of well-known Nigerian vocalists over his career, including Banky W, MI Abaga, Simi, Niniola, Maleek Berry, and Juls.
In late December 2017, he hosted his first music event, Homecoming, in Lagos.
