African musician and lyricist Eugene Kwame Marfo (born February 1, 1997) has Ghanaian ancestry.

When he was still a young man, he gained fame under the alias Kuami Eugene after entering the 2016 MTN Hitmaker season 5 competition, where he took third place.

He was discovered by Lynx Entertainment, a renowned musical label, as a result of his position. He was signed to the record label as a result of his incredible performance in the Ghanaian national competition, which he did not win.

The year after being signed, he released Angela, which is regarded as the biggest hit by any artist signed to the label and amassed over million YouTube streams.

Early Life

Ghana is the home country of West African Kuami Eugene. He was created in the city of Akim Oda, which is located in Ghana. He is the son of Alex and Juliana Marfo, who gave birth to him on February 1st, 1997.

He hails from a working-class background, which faced him with some challenges and gave him the opportunity to examine life from a different perspective.

With his parents and siblings, he spent his formative years in what is perhaps Akim Oda’s busiest neighborhood. He started singing as a young child, and this had an impact on his musical taste.

Kuami Eugene would spend time with some of his friends at the end of the week and on siestas to practice his freestyling skills. He also started writing songs, which he sang in front of his family and friends.

Education

Kuami Eugene, a student at Salvation Army Senior High School, dropped out in order to devote all of his attention to his musical career.

He established a studio that no one knew about, which allowed him to spend his formative years in Fadama. He somehow managed to enroll in Ghana Telecom University, although he allegedly didn’t complete his studies there.

Career

After honing his craft as a singer for a while, Kuami Eugene decided to devote a lot of time to High-Life and Afrobeat, two musical genres strongly associated with Africa. In 2016, he started treating music right. He entered the MTN Hitmaker season 5 contest along the way as he pursued his career.

His outstanding performance in the musical competition made it possible for Lynx Entertainment to sign him.

Kuami Eugene was deeply shocked when he proceeded to release a number of singles under the label because the record company had already set him up with a platform from which to operate. He rapidly became the center of attention as a result, and many Ghanaian and international artists started looking for him to collaborate with.

His songs including Angela, Wish Me Well, and Ohemaa, which reached the mainstream quickly, topped the charts on a number of music-related websites in Ghana. He produced the music video for the song Angela, which quickly passed the landmark of one million views. Over 18 million people have watched the movie since it was uploaded to YouTube on September 13th, 2017.

For a while, Angela topped the Apple Music Chart Ghana, Boomplay, Spotify, and other popular music streaming platforms.

Kuami Eugene made the decision to perform more songs in order to concede his success and grow his fan base. He gave Angela a follow-up story in the song Confusion to further his success.

On February 1st, 2018, the song video’s continuation was given. The singer didn’t fail to live up to expectations and was at the top of his game, as predicted by music intellectuals, and it was generally embraced by music enthusiasts. The song has been streamed and downloaded by a significant number of people. Confusion’s music video has received over 10 million views on YouTube since the song’s premiere, and experts predict that number will continue to rise.

Additionally, Kuami Eugene has produced a variety of tracks and collaborated with other musicians. He’s also received honors.
