Rapper, singer, and composer Erhiga Agarivbie (born 30 March 1987), often known by his stage name Erigga, is well-known in Nigeria. He is jokingly referred to as the “king of the street” because of how he uses the line in his song lyrics. His birthday is March 30, 1987.

In Warri, Delta State, he was born into a family of five children. In his early years, he didn’t want to go down the musical path. He participated in the basketball games with great zeal.

Erigga played professionally and was a part of the Delta State basketball team. He is currently among the richest and most successful rappers in the nation. In this article, we’ll examine Erigga’s background, musical career, and financial situation.

Early Life & Education

The first of five children, Erigga was born on March 30, 1987, into a family of five. He is from Warri, Delta State, which is in the south-central region of Nigeria.

When he was in elementary school, he attended Standard International School. The same primary school also served as the site of his secondary studies.

During his secondary school years, Erigga became well-known for competing in the Milo Basketball Competition.

Career

Before she became an artist, Erigga aspired to be a professional basketball player. Because he was so successful at sports right away, people expected he would succeed in them. He was always a great athlete and even played on a team that won the Milo Basketball Championship.

He thought that music was a better fit for him at some point along the way, so he shifted his interests to focus on it. Using tunes like “Paper Boi,” he started to pursue music.

In his early twenties, he started making music in the studio, drawing inspiration from legendary rappers like Eminem, Jay-Z, 50 Cent, Nas, Rakim, Ja Rule, and Canibus.

The distinctive rapping style of Erigga and the majority of his songs’ raw content make them inappropriate for young fans, audience members, and listeners. He raps in pidgin English, a West African patois, as was already mentioned. He is an expert at evoking lyrical images in the imaginations of his listeners with his well-crafted sentences.

His music video for the song “Dem No Get Two Heads” was released, and it quickly became a hit. The video was directed and photographed by Igho Tosin of the Igho films. But the inappropriateness of the video had a big effect on Erigga’s musical career. Erigga lost a lot of awards, endorsements, and nominations as a result of how poorly it performed on TV and radio.

The musician does not appear to worry that most of his other songs are illegal and continues to soar with the support of his fans. Currently, Snow Man, a seasoned artist manager, and his company, New Money Records, have a contract with Erigga. It would be more honest to say that he made his own success.

The immoral content of Erigga’s songs prevented his music from getting much airplay. He released “Dem No Get Two Heads,” the song in question, in 2010. Igho Tosin of Igho Films directed the song’s music video, which featured violent themes. The native of Warri received a four-year prison term for infractions. He may have committed petty burglary as well as armed robbery.

He is believed to be a member of the evil cult organization Black Axe Confraternity based on his attire.

Personal Life

Erigga’s spouse is Morenike Agarivbie. He wed her in a traditional ceremony in Warri, Nigeria, on October 2, 2020. His other child is Kyla Agarivbie, a daughter who is 3 years old.

He thinks that many unhappy marriages occur because women choose to marry men who are prepared for marriage over the men they genuinely love.
