Early Life
The Idowu family welcomed Idowest into the world on November 2, 1992. His parents gave him the name Adekunle as a baby.
He was raised in the area of Lagos that is on the mainland. He is a young Yoruba man from a state in the southwest.
As a teenager, he developed a passion for music and began writing rap rhymes.
He mostly used his Yoruba dialect and pidgin when rapping. He regularly performed freestyle raps in front of his classmates and neighbors.

Idowest frequently made trips to a studio close to his home as a budding musician to record singles. As he became more well-known as a rapper, he began getting requests to perform at local events and concerts in Lagos.
He gained notoriety in 2017 after releasing the popular song Shepeteri with Slimcase.
He expanded his success in 2018 by inking a recording contract with Davido Music Worldwide. As a result, he joined co-label artists Peruzzi, Mayorkun, Dremo, and Yonda as a member of the DMW family.
He released the No Girlfriend No Problem (NPNG) smash tune in December 2020. In the song, Zlatan Ibile was featured. The song is currently popular on all of the main music streaming services in the world. Additionally, it has evolved into a street anthem.
Idowest has collaborated with some of Nigeria’s biggest musical stars over the course of his five-year career, including Davido, Olamide, Danagog, Dammy Krane, Jaywon, Peruzzi, and Zlatan Ibile.
He represents the company brand for the cryptocurrency trading company Jeroid Nigeria.
