Keshinro Ololade, better known by his stage name Lil Kesh, is a phenomenal Nigerian singer, rapper, and songwriter. He was born on March 17, 1995.

After releasing the song “Shoki,” he became famous. Shoki, a song that was associated with a certain dance technique, received a great deal of praise and was remixed twice, once for men and once for women.

Lil Kesh has received a record four award nominations to date, winning two of them. Before signing with his own record company, Young And Getting It, YAGI Records, he teamed forces with YBNL (Yahoo Boy No Laptop) Nation as a recording artist.

Early Life & Education

Lil Kesh was born and reared in the Nigerian city of Bariga, which is a part of Lagos State. He was born on March 17, 1995, and is from the western Nigerian state of Osun. He is of the Yoruba ethnic group.

He was born into the family of Mr. & Mrs. Keshinro, and has a brother named Keshinro Pelumi.

He had a passion for music growing up. He sang for his fellow students at school and gave performances in regional contests. His parents supported him throughout since they recognized his abilities.

Lil Kesh completed his primary and secondary school at Stockbridge College before transferring to the elite University of Lagos (Unilag), where he majored in linguistics.

Later, he enrolled at Nigeria’s National Open University to study online for a degree in mass communication.

Career

Then, in 2014, he dropped the popular song “Shoki.” The superstar performer was thrust into the spotlight by Shoki, which topped various music charts. He received numerous nominations for accolades as a result of this musical effort, but only received two.

At the 2015 Nigeria Entertainment Awards, Lil Kesh was up for Best New Act. After his contract with YBNL expired in 2016, he later founded his own record company, YAGI Records (an acronym for Young And Getting It).

Massive Management Team, a marketing and event management firm, is in charge of running the label.

Young And Getting It (Y.A.G.I), Lil Kesh’s debut studio album, was made available through YBNL Nation on March 17, 2016. Young John produced the song, and Ycee, Phyno, Wale, Adekunle Gold, Patoranking, Viktoh, Olamide, Davido, and Chinko Ekun provided the Pheelz Vocals. It includes elements of the rap and hip-hop genres.

Lyrically, Efejoku, Is it because I love You, and Ibile are among the four singles on it.

Olamide, who raps and sings in his native Yoruba, is fairly similar to Lil Kesh in terms of musical style and flexibility. However, Lil Kesh has come under fire for employing excessive profanity in his rhymes and failing to strike the correct balance.

Despite this, many critics and fans have praised Lil Kesh as one of the greatest rappers to ever grace the business.
