Buju TYE (BNXN) [Biography, Age, Net Worth, Songs, Wikipedia, Record Label, Girlfriend, Untold Facts, Wife & More]

Afrobeats musician Daniel Benson (born May 19, 1997) is a rising star in the genre. He goes by the name BNXN in the workplace (formerly Buju).

Many music-loving Africans adore the singer, songwriter, and rapper for his sonorous voice, memorable lyrics, and exceptional songwriting skills.

In 2019, after working with rapper Zlatan Ibile to release Spiritual Remix, he shot to fame. He was previously a member of Burna Boy’s Spaceship Collective.

For several weeks, his debut EP, Sorry I Am Late, topped the national music charts. One of the artists in the business who is currently featured the most is Buju (BNXN).

Career

Buju (BNXN) persistently worked toward his goal of becoming a music superstar while he was a student. He continued to write new songs while also honing his sound. He used the stage name Drizzle at this time.

The decision to change his name to Buju (BNXN) came after being fired at work (internship) for listening to music during office hours. At the time he received his termination letter, he had been listening to the song of Jamaican dance hall artiste Buju Banton. More so, the name Buju means “a chubby kid” in Jamaica, which resonates with his physical appearance.

His official debut single, Catch A Vibe, was released in February 2018. The song did fairly well in the market, winning him new fans beyond his close friends. Later that year, he dropped a second single titled, A Day In Lagos. This song did better than his first, as he gained popularity on Twitter and Soundcloud. That same year, he dropped two more singles, Aje and Balance It, to maintain the heat of his growing fame.

However, it was until 2019 that Buju (BNXN) struck gold in the industry. This came after he recorded the single, Spiritual and promoted the song on social media. His promotion tactics worked as the song went viral on the internet.

He decided to do the remix of the single and reached out to rapper Zlatan Ibile for a collaboration. After weeks of tagging Zlatan Ibile to the song’s video on social media, the older artiste reposted the song on his social media handles and agreed to be featured on the song.

As soon as the remix of Spiritual was released, it became an instant hit and brought Buju (BNXN) to the limelight.

Fortune smiled on Buju (BNXN) again in 2020 when he linked up with Burna Boy. The Grammy Award Winner had heard Buju (BNXN)‘s single Lenu in the club and became interested in working with the rising artiste. The duo collaborated on Lenu (Remix), which solidified Buju (BNXN)‘s stance as one of the promising acts in the industry.

After that, he signed a record deal with Spaceship Collective, owned by Burna Boy. He exited the label in April 2021 after the expiration of his contract and founded his own music imprint – To Your Ears Entertainment.
